Wedding Catering

What information do you require to prepare an initial catering proposal and quote? 2017-11-24T14:14:40+00:00

The following information is always very useful:

  • Number of guests (daytime and evening)
  • Approximate timings of the day
  • Confirm where the ceremony will be (i.e. if it’s at the same venue as the reception we need extra staff to turn the room around for dinner during the drinks reception)
  • Would you like canapes served during a drinks reception?
  • Would you like a 2 course/ 3 course meal (sharing platters/ sit down plated etc.) or something more informal like a barbecue or afternoon tea?

We will organise all tableware, glassware, linen, kitchen equipment, tables and chairs (subject to the venue) and co—ordinate the deliveries.

We will fully staff your wedding with chefs, waiting staff and an Event Manager.

Of course not, these are purely to give you an indication of what’s popular with our clients. We like to offer our clients a bespoke menu service discussing your preferred tastes and ideas, working together to create the perfect menu. We have catered many different weddings including Chinese banquets, Nigerian buffets and Indian sharing platters through to a traditional three course sit down meal.

We offer tastings at our kitchen premises in North London for our clients to sample menus to help make that important decision.  We offer appointments on Monday evenings and lunchtimes during the week and book several weeks in advance.

The tasting is part of the service should you chose Saffron to cater your wedding, otherwise, we charge £150 which covers the cost of a full tasting experience for two people.

We do not charge corkage and will happily arrange to chill and serve any drinks you choose to supply for your guests.

Do I need a Catering Event Manager and what is their role? 2017-11-26T18:56:18+00:00

Our Event Managers have a wealth of experience and they will be your point of contact once you have confirmed your booking.

They will arrange a meeting approximately six weeks before your wedding to ensure all aspects of the day are covered such as confirming timings, seating plan, dietary requirements, table set up, venue set up, what drinks you are serving, the service itself and confirming details of all your suppliers such as your florist, cake, DJ. 

Your Event Manager will ensure they are aware where all your suppliers are setting up making it a stress-free experience!

We have a recommended supplier list of people we have worked with and can thoroughly recommend from our experience of working with them.

We require a 20% deposit to secure the date and the balance and final numbers are due 21 days before the wedding date. 

We will send full terms and conditions to all clients when a booking is confirmed.

Corporate Catering

We will fully staff your event with chefs, waiting staff and an Event Manager.

We require final numbers three weeks before the event and we will then ensure all guests are catered for and discuss any alternative menus for guests with dietary requirements.

We do not charge corkage and will happily arrange to chill and serve any drinks you choose to supply for your guests. We can also arrange drinks packages for events.

We can also help you find a suitable venue.

Private Dining

  • Would you like a 2 course/ 3 course meal (sharing platters/ sit down plated etc.)

We would be happy to meet you at your home to discuss your event and look at the kitchen facilities in order to prepare menus that will be manageable.

We will provide waiting staff and a Chef.
